Hi I’m John Whitt and I’m a big fan of Zig Ziglar. He’s the author for “Gotta have it. The reality is that the #1 pain point for entrepreneurs everywhere is revenue. But it’s not one time revenue, it’s consistent revenue and consistent revenue growth.

There are countless training programs, coaches, and consultants who help perpetuate this myth.
If this myth were true, business success would be easy – find the right program or the right consultant, learn the lessons, and success would follow.

The truth: learning for the sake of learning misses the critical factors that make all the difference. Those factors are intent and action.Intent answers the question ‘why am I learning this in the first place?’ The answer to that question can’t be fuzzy, like ‘to improve my business’. It must be clear, specific, and concrete. Why am I taking this accounting course?

You might think it’s so you can read P&L and income statements to better understand the financial performance of your business and that would be partially true. But the real benefit is the improved decisions you can make for improvement and growth. When you take the time to clarify your intent, learning transforms from learning for the sake of learning to learning for the sake of achievement.

Action is another critical factor in learning. Nothing happens until something moves. Hours spent learning need to be applied in the real world through focused, effective action. Something new needs to happen to produce different results. The question to ask is ‘what am I going to DO with what I’ve just learned?’, or if you’re trying to decide what you need to learn, ‘what do I need to learn to do, that I don’t know how to do, right now?’

The Entrepreneurs I serve are in this space. they’re Frustrated with Poor Execution of Previous Strategic Goals, Strategies, & Plans. They find themselves stuck on the activity treadmill. achieving the same old results. and that’s not why they started their business.
