A Prescription For Joy

What if there was a prescription for relief when life’s activity jumps several levels. The holidays can do that. As wonderful as the time of year can be, it can also be kinda crazy. Watch this short video now for a solution that never fails. What if there was a prescription for joy?

You may not realize it but, you’re in the twilight zone of the holiday transition period. Right now, you are in the thick of it.

Most of us love the holidays for all the joy and love they represent.

As an entrepreneur that serves entrepreneur’s and employees alike, I see the impact of the holiday twilight zone all the time, and it’s a challenge.

The twilight zone is the time frame when your routine contribution to the world, whatever you do for work or however you live the other 11 months of the year, is compounded with Christmas.

It’s different for everybody but there is no doubt that it has a direct impact on our lives.

The holiday twilight zone begins early in December and for some it will go right up to December 24th, then on December 25th there is a massive crescendo.

You can almost hear the orchestra symbols crashing.

But up until then, routine activities haven’t leveled off and holiday activities begin compounding the energy required, every day.

It can be crazy and overwhelming. At the very least it’s a challenge.

The reason it’s a challenge is because humans are creatures of habit.

Habits are developed to make live easier. Habits are Familiar mental shortcuts that you follow because you’ve been there before.

Because you know the way, it’s easier. All year long we rely on our habits, but this time of year impacts our habits. Both the physical and mental.

There’s more physical up-time with holiday parties and shopping and energy and effort.

The holidays induce thoughts outside of the other 11 months of the year, presents, cards, decorations, parties, food, gift wrapping, Christmas lights. It takes more energy.

The mental side, which can be just as much or more taxing than the physical side, is affected because we need different plans. The plans of habit aren’t enough.

In addition there is extra mental energy required to select gifts for those we love.

It happens every year, at the same time, but transition is never easy.
.
We are inundated with commercials, events, shopping and buying.

It can be crazy, it can be overwhelming.

It’s a shift in focus. It’s overt. And it’s expected.

The magic word is LOVE because Love never fails.

Jesus brought a new light to the world. To everyone. Jesus delivered a better way to live. Jesus focused on love.

Embrace the love. Give yourself a few minutes each day to emotionally connect to what’s most important in life. Focus on the love that others provided for you. Focus on the love that brings joy to others, and you are rewarded with joy for yourself.

It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. Love is your way out. love is the prescription for joy.

Joy is precious.
